Salutations all!
I have not had much time to create in the past few weeks. I am settled in to a cozy extended stay motel that is more like dorm living. Right now, to obtain the much coveted wireless conection I desire, I must sit outside on the ground and leech off the lobby waves.
Hopefully a home will be in our future! And the silliness of the one room living will come to an end.
In the mean time I have this little piece I've been working on. Sorry for the quality. I took the photo with my cell and it leaves a bit to be desired. I might play around in photoshop before I complete it. Once completed I hope to have this up on Etsy when the time comes that I have access to a proper scanner again!

An unnecessary distraction...
Whenever I am entirely overwhelmed, such as times like these, I find myself to be amazingly productive in other areas! So, I give you ART!
Now, I should be off to pack for this latest moving adventure!
A friend of mine drew the composition and I requested permission to do my own version in ink. This is the result. Hopefully it will be up on Etsy when I have a chance. I had been meaning to complete this for some time but the nerves of "ruining" what you like and not knowing the way to finish it set in. I'm still not entirely sure it's complete. I feel like either the background of the sky or the fence need to be shaded. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
Now, I should be off to pack for this latest moving adventure!

Quick Update...
Salutations!
I had been planning on updating this a bit more but many exciting and chaotic things have been happening!
My painting has been put on hold because, well at first our little abode aquired a kitten. Also, we have a big move in our future! A new job has been accepted which means I'm jumping states.
Excuse the absense! I hope to be back and updating as quickly as possible but it may be some time. We're looking into buying a house and, in the mean time, I'll be living in a motel. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to doodle but it seems that I'll be keeping too busy with the relocation and house buying.

Works in progress...
Salutation!
Hello all. Today I am working on a few different projects. I have started a new watercolor inspired by Miss Liza Minnelli. While searching for new techniques and other inspirations I stumbled on this wonderful website... http://fluidbeauty.com/. His art is amazing and the colors are so vivid. I've also discovered that the quality of my watercolor paper is not at all where it needs to be. I'm finding it pretty disappointing to work on but I don't want to scrap the whole project just yet.
I have also been working on a little sculpture. I haven't done much work with additive sculptures so I've been excited to finally sit down and work on a mini bust. I've been using Sculpey clay and the plans are to paint with some acrylic and find a waterbased acrylic sealant. I haven't done anything like this so I'm excited for the final product.

I'm also about to start a new ink project based off of my friend Amber's drawing. I'm also super excited for that. I love her style and her original drawing was fantastic. I felt really inspired from it and (with her approval) I've decided to try it in my own style. My problem is that I love hers so much I might end up only changing a few minor details and have it in ink instead of graphite.
Well, I'm off to draw!
Cheers!

It Lives!
The beast is up and running! I have officially launched my website. You can find it here at Obscured Artistry. Seven prints are available through the Wix (flash heavy) website. Right now the only payment option is PayPal. I also have created an Etsy account which can be found here Obscured Artistry Etsy Account. There is only one print available on Etsy because they charge a fee to host images and they take a cut of the profits.
I plan on using this site to update works in progress, vent frustrations, and hopefully sell some prints. This is new territory for me. Many times I've vowed not to sell work and the idea of selling prints is a scary one but being as I am currently unemployed it seems like my best option.
Cheers!
